Lesson Management and Cancellation Policy

To support effective learning, teaching, and scheduling, please note the following policies:

1. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • A minimum 48-hour notice is required for any cancellations or schedule changes, except in emergencies.
  • Emergencies do not include: regular illness, unscheduled events, or severe weather.
  • Missed lessons must be made up within the same week, the following week, or within the same month. After that month, the lesson will be charged.
  • Normally, two emergency cancellations are allowed per school year (Sept–Dec, Jan–June, July–Aug). Excessive emergencies may result in non-prime time slots.

2. Ad Hoc & Shared Lessons

  • Additional ad hoc lessons may be arranged for test preparation.
  • These or make-up lessons may be held as shared sessions.
  • Shared sessions may be extended by 5–15 minutes, or additional time may be added to future sessions.

3. Late Arrivals & No-Shows

  • If a student is late, only half the missed time will be made up in future lessons.
  • No-shows without notice will be charged and made up by staying after or coming early to the next lesson (only half the regular time will be made up).

4. High School Subjects and Special Programs

  • Due to academic load, high school tutoring is most effective with 1.5-hour weekly sessions.
  • For SAT prep or competitions, 2-hour sessions are recommended.

5. Exceptions and Fee Adjustments

  • Exceptional cases will be discussed individually and handled fairly.
  • We reserve the right to adjust fees if students leave or join a class to maintain payment schedules.
  • No refunds after two lessons for monthly/hourly plans.
  • No refunds after a group/class lesson has started, but fees may be credited toward future lessons if a schedule conflict arises.
